Deployment & Integration

Palladion is a passive device, the Integration is similar to an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) using a Span (Mirror) Port on the relevant Switches or by using dedicated Ethernet Taps.

Deployment of Palladion is possible in standalone or cluster mode. While in standalone mode one Palladion instance is used to capture all traffic and to perform all calculations and also the evaluation and presentation of the data, in cluster mode, data collection, aggregation and presentation separated.

Palladion Integration Example

Using the cluster installation of Palladion allows to provider to scale up to millions of users. The collection of data is then separated from the processing and presentation. Palladion devices can take any of the three roles.

Palladion Integration Example

Palladion is fully compliant with the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS).

IMS will be the future global PSTN replacement. Today already many service providers have deployed IMS or pre-IMS networks to enable worldwide interoperability and the fast implementation of future services and applications. With Palladion service providers can make the most out of IMS - integration is again very simple, Palladion just receives a copy of the raw network traffic at as many points as possible.

Due to the use of many stateful SIP components in IMS networks Palladion can help keeping the network in a sane state. It observes the nodes on the network and can determine issues on Layer 7, that can be caused by node restarts, sessions replication issues and similar problems.
